Cider Glazed Ham
This Cider Glazed Ham is perfect to serve on your for your Christmas Dinner.
Ingredients:
- 64 oz Apple Cider
- 2 Cinnamon Sticks
- 4-5 Lb Spiral Ham
- 1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
- 1/3 Cup Stone Ground Mustard
- 1/4 Cup Honey
- 1 Tablespoon Finely Grated Orange Zest, Plus 2 Tablespoons Fresh Juice
- 1 Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
- 1/2 Teaspoon Ground Nutmeg
- 1/2 Teaspoon Ground Cloves
- 1/4 Teaspoon Ground Ginger
- Cranberry Sauce
Instructions:
- Pour the Cider and add Cinnamon Sticks to a large sauce pan over Medium Low Heat. Allow to simmer for 2 hours or until it has reduced to about 2 to 3 cups. Stir occasionally.
- Remove reduction and set to the side.
- Preheat your oven to 350ºF. Lay your Ham in a roasted pan that is greased well. Set aside 1 cup of your Cider reduction. Pour remaining cider over the Ham.
- Combine the served cup of Cider, Brown Sugar, Stone Ground Mustard, Honey, Orange Zest and Juice, Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Cloves and Ginger into a bowl. Mix well. Use this as your Ham glaze and brush the ham 3 to 4 times while it cooks.
- Cover the ham and place in the oven for 15 minutes per Lb of ham. Uncover ham the last 30 minutes of cooking.
- Remove the ham from the oven and let rest for 10 minutes.
- Slice and serve with Cranberry Sauce.
