Prior to 2020...
The Abington Food Pantry’s St. Vincent de Paul Truck was parked at Trucchi’s Supermarkets, located at 858 Bedford Street, Saturday & Sunday, two weeks before Thanksgiving.
Donations of food, money and gift cards were collected by volunteers from many local community organizations. Volunteers were on hand to sort donations before they make the trek to Abington Food Pantry’s facility located at 425 Plymouth Street. Volunteers were also present at the food pantry to prepare donated items for distribution in time for Thanksgiving dinner.
The Abington Food Pantry is the current food pantry partner of Trucchi’s in Abington and the recipient of all “CAN Hunger!” Pre-filled bag donations generated from the store.
"STUFF THE TRUCK" Abington would not be possible without the help and support of volunteers from the following community organizations: Abington United Church of Christ in conjunction with the Abington American Legion Post 112, Sunday Nov. 13, the Abington Lions Club.
