Caprese Kabobs are one of the most clever appetizer ideas we have ever come across. Turn the typical Caprese Salad that everyone enjoys so much on those summer days, and turn it into easy to eat finger food! Gather up some Red Ripe Grape Tomatoes (cut in half), Small balls of Mozzarella (or just cut into chunks) and Fresh Basil Leaves. Then just thread a tomato half through a toothpick, pushing so the flat side is down so it will stand up on plate. Next, take a piece of basil and stick onto the toothpick so it lays on top of the round side of the tomato. Grab the mozzarella and stick right on top. Prepare a balsamic reduction by pouring a cup of Balsamic Vinegar in a saucepan. Lower heat and let simmer for 10 minutes. Or until it has the consistency of very thin maple syrup. Once cooled down, drizzle the Balsamic right over the Caprese Kabobs and serve. We gotta warn you…these are a huge hit at our parties so make sure you make enough because they go fast!
Wanna learn how to make these adorable Jello Watermelons? These are so fun to make, and very easy to do yourself. Take as many limes as you’ll need and cut in half. Scoop the inside of the lime using a spoon. Once you have removed the fruit from all the limes, take a muffin tin and lay them down (this will hold them in place). Prepare Jell-O Watermelon Gelatin according to directions on package. When the Jell-O is ready, pour into the “watermelon” rinds. Chill in the refrigerator until the Jell-O is almost firm. Take Mini Chocolate Chips and push into the watermelons using a toothpick to create its “seeds”. Put back into the fridge until the Jell-O is firm. Right before serving, remove from the refrigerator and cut the halves into wedges. These are fantastic to serve with beverages and look great served on a nice tray.
