Trucchi's and CFC Team Up Again
August 6, 2009 at 9:54 AM

During the month of August Trucchi's will be collecting backpacks, writing utensils, pencil cases, notebooks, small pencil sharpeners, binders, folders and just about anything a student might need in the classroom. Last year, items small and large brought smiles to the faces of the young recipients.

Items collected will be distributed by: http://cfcinc.org.

Getting In The Habit...
Trucchi's Reusable Tote
August 4, 2009 at 8:46 AM

Trucchi’s Reusable Tote Bags are larger than the typical paper bag, sturdy enough to jam as much as you can fit and have reinforced handles. Many customers have transitioned to reusable bags and have found the only drawback is remembering to use them and bring them back. Here are a couple suggestions to help you get in the habit… As soon as you unload your grocery purchases at home consolidate all the bags into one and hang it on the outgoing door handle. This will remind you to return your Trucchi’s Reusable Bags to your car the next time you leave. Consider where you store the bags the next time you return them to your car. Try an in-your-face approach similar to hanging them on the outgoing door handle. Keep the bags in the front of the car instead of the rear; folded between the seats or on the floor of the passenger side. Stick a post-it on the dash. Tell your “little helper” if you aren’t shopping alone it is his or her job to remind Mom and Dad to bring the bags into the store. And if all else fails right before you enter the store, we placed signs to help you remind you as well. We’re all trying to get into the habit together.

Help Make A Difference
Purchase Pre-filled Donation Bags
December 23, 2008 at 11:33 AM

In February 2009, we began our Donation Bag Program. Donated Food has increased considerably since it has started. The pre-filled bags are on display in the front of each Trucchi's location.  Each register has a sleeve of scan cards $5, $10, $15, $20.  Each bag has different items. We run our scan report and tally the items and and the goods are distributed in cases to food pantries in communities that are home to Trucchi's.  (The locations are Taunton Coyle and Cassidy Food Pantry, West Bridgewater, The West Bridgewater Food Pantry, Abington, St. Vincent De Paul, New Bedford, Solanus Casey Food Pantry.) Your contributions have been making a significant difference in your local communities. We appreciate your continuous support to Can Hunger.
